Ayman Chowdhury, MScSM
Ayman is a committed professional in the field of corporate sustainability management with a special focus and interest on gender diversity and inclusion. Recently, he completed MSc in Sustainability Management (MScSM) from the University of Toronto with a specialization in social sustainability management. Currently, working for the B.Accountability as a Senior Consultant to develop, manage, and deliver sustainability projects. Also, supporting the GCNC as a Senior Consultant to advance the UNGC principles and Sustainable Development Goals in the private sector. Prior to joining the two-years MScSM program, Ayman worked for more than five years in an international management consulting firm writing proposal and delivering sustainable development projects funded by the multilateral and bilateral agencies in a number of countries including Nepal, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Cambodia.
Ayman also has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from United International University, Dhaka and a certificate in “Sustainability Reporting based on GRI-G4” from EcoCanada.

Ayman’s major accomplishments include:
Responsible for overseeing all UTERN funded projects; engage with group members on campus who have initiated projects through UTERN; Review and report all potential projects to UTERN Executive; Ensure on-time submission of deliverables.
Primary responsibilities included, developing responsive proposals for sustainable development projects, and working as an in-house analyst to support senior consulting team for preparing the project deliverables.
Assist the program manager in implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs for businesses including peer review support, sustainability performance assessment, due diligence study, webinars, podcasts, and in-person events. Also, conduct research on topics including ESG investor briefing, responsible investment, sustainability reporting, and on topics related to the UN Global Compact Ten Principles.
Worked under the leadership of an Accenture Management Consulting advisor to prepare a strategic solution in response to a request Accenture received on a real client engagement.
Conducted both quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess the performance of the top ten organizations of the industry in terms of sustainability practice and reporting as per the GRI: G4 guideline. The qualitative assessment covered the management structure and governance issues, and the quantitative assessment covered the economic, social and environmental aspects.
Drafted the approach and methodology for the assignment as per the requirement of the RfP, also, provided support to senior consulting team to clean and organize field data in excel spreadsheet for data analysis.
Analyzed local context, policy history and implementation environment for green growth in Bangladesh and proposed a technical method for overcoming the ESG challenges with a stakeholder engagement approach.
Prepared the approach and methodology for the proposal as per the requirement of the RfP to improve transparency and accountability in tax and enhance public trust in the government service delivery system of the National Board of Revenue.
As the Project Coordinator, facilitated UNDP-BRESL team to perform energy data collection and analysis using MS Excel for assessing quality of non-efficient energy products from open market in Bangladesh and drafted final report with recommendations for removal of barriers based on pilot project experience.
Supported senior consulting team in data collection and analysis related to energy management system, GHG emission, labelling system, building codes and finance system for preparing the energy efficiency and conservation master plan 2030.
